Paul Edward Tomba, 77, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born April 12,1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Helen (Colagrossi) Tomba. He married Janis Letney (deceased) on February 7,1975 in Cleveland, Ohio. They were married for 19 years and had two children together, Tracy Melchert (Jeff) and Michael Tomba (Angelita). Paul later married Solange Luz in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 25, 1995. Paul had two stepchildren, Lara Valentine and Stephanie Luz who also thought of him as their father. Paul and Solange had a great influence on Granddaughter Sabrina and her rise to a successful career in the Navy and was a role model for a happy family.
Paul was raised in Cleveland, graduating from St. Joseph’s High School in 1966. While working in the Cleveland area he managed multiple country clubs to include Columbia Hills, Lakewood, and Avon Lake. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1990 and pursued a career in casino food and beverage management. He rose to the level of Food and Beverage Manager at the Golden Nugget and the Director of Food and Beverage at Arizona Charlie’s for many years. He later worked as a Food Broker at Food Sales West in Las Vegas before his retirement in 2017. Paul was loved by all who knew him. Paul was an avid reader of western lore and loved western movies. He loved to spend time with family, cook delicious Italian food, and entertain his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching baseball and football always cheering for the Cleveland “Indians” and the Cleveland Browns. Paul loved to host large holiday gatherings with his family and travel by car with Solange throughout the West. Paul especially loved visiting the Prescott, Williams and Sedona areas of Arizona.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Solange of Mesquite, Nevada, Children, Tracy Melchert (Jeff) of Las Vegas, Michael Tomba (Angelita) of Las Vegas, Laura Valentine of Oxnard, California and Stephanie Luz of Las Vegas; 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; Sisters Laura Tomba & Jane Colagiovanni (John) and brother Ed Tomba (Lora) all of Cleveland, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Helen Tomba.
No services will be held at this time, the family have a private celebration of life at a later date.
