Paul Ugolick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Maple Shade on Nov. 6, 2025.

Paul Edward Ugolick, an unwavering man of faith, devoted family man, a native resident of Maple shade (a true "Shader"), and a diesel mechanic, died on November 5th, 2025 at the age of 79 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Peg Ugolick (nee Clear); his children, Jennifer (Matthew) Bove (nee Ugolick), Michelle (Jim) Bachman (nee Ugolick), Laura (Charles) Senatore (nee Ugolick), Jonathan (Jennifer) Ugolick, and his sisters Nancy Bailey (nee Ugolick) and Janice Curry (nee Ugolick).
He was born in Philadelphia on June 23rd,1946 to Bernard and Gladys Ugolick. He graduated from Merchantville High School in 1965 where he played varsity football, and track and field. Paul entered the United States Air Force immediately after high school graduation at age 19 years, where he served as a Sergeant E-4 teletype operator. On October 4, 1969, he married Peg, the love of his life, whom he devoted his life to. He welcomed Jennifer (52yo), Michelle (50yo), Laura (48yo), and Jonathan (45yo). He raised his children with compassion and as a fierce protector. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Paul was a proud veteran who served during the Vietnam War era, stationed in the Mediterranean and Asia for four years. He was a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan (for better or worse). He never missed an opportunity to support his children's endeavors, from serving as a volunteer youth sports coach to cheering animatedly from the sidelines. Paul was a loyal friend who loved to make people laugh, or roll their eyes at a classic "dad joke." He took pride in cooking and providing for his family. Sunday morning breakfast was a staple in the Ugolick household. His BBQ ribs and bean soup will be missed, among many other specialty "doctored-up" dishes. Paul was also devoted to his Catholic faith and involved in many ministries, including the Knights of Columbus and men's bible study. He also sang in the choir as a bass, and was known for his deep voice that filled the room (whether it be the church or his living room). Paul was a true gentleman who lived his life to make his beloved Peg smile.
He was known for his quiet strength, kindness, and humble nature. Simply, he was the best of us. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and all those who knew him.
