Alfred "Bud" Rhodes

Alfred "Bud" Rhodes, of Little Egg Harbor Township, formerly of Lenola, passed away on October 28th, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born to the late Alfred & Margaret (nee Cavanaugh) Rhodes on March 24th, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA. He is reunited in death with his brother, the late John Rhodes (2018). Growing up in Lenola, NJ, he developed a talent for Doo-Wop singing and cut records with other artists from Philadelphia. He met the love of his life, Annette (nee Vozzelli). They were married for 56 years. Buddy and Annette welcomed their loving children into their lives, Brian Rhodes, and Brad (Eliza) Rhodes. Bud loved being their father. He enjoyed having the boys to go fishing with and showing them the music of his youth. As his boys grew up, Bud received a new title as grandpa to Jacob, Joshua, and Rachel. Bud loved having the little ones around to fill the house up with laughter. In the 1990's, Buddy and Annette started a program called Tough Love that helped adolescents.
Bud was an active community member. He was known by many & loved by all. He played the banjo for Quaker City and in various Avalon String Bands, and the president of the AMBA. He enjoyed going fishing and being around his friends & family. Bud was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Bud had a soft spot for animals and loved his many pets. He was also a lifelong member of the Beach Buggy Association. He was also the owner of his barber shop, Hairs to You for 50 years. Bud had a larger than life personality and a love for making people smile around him. He acted as Santa Claus for nearly 30 years for family & friends holiday parties.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on November 15th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Givnish Funeral Home of Maple Shade. Located at 600 E Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ, 08052. Immediately following the visitation there will be funeral service beginning at 12 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
