Paul E. Welch Jr.

Paul E. Welch Jr., 75, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on October 5, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Eugene Welch Sr. and Ruth Ann (Anstadt) Welch. He retired after 34 years of service from the Harford County Public Schools where he was Director of Transportation. Paul's idea of a good time was talking and laughing with his family and friends, but his greatest joy in life was doting on his four granddaughters, whom he called "Pap-pap's Peaches". He loved to laugh. He was a closet engineer as he loved to "Tinker". Since retiring, winters were spent in Frostproof, Florida where he enjoyed golfing and trading jokes with his golf buddies on the Veranda. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. in Sebring, FL. Paul was also a voracious reader, especially anything that had to do with history. Mr. Welch is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia A. (Petrak) Welch; son, Sean C. Welch (Jackie) of Eldersburg; and grandchildren, Emma, Lauren, Erin and Lucy Welch. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, David R. Welch and brother, David A. Welch.
