Mr. Paul Raymond Wilkerson

Paul Raymond Wilkerson, 70, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born December 31, 1945 in Whitesville to the late Paul O. and Evelyn Wilkerson. Paul was retired from the Body Shop at Champion Ford and was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed horse racing, cookouts with his family, and flower and vegetable gardening. He was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Len Wilkerson, two brothers, Glenn and George Wilkerson, and three sisters, Joanne Payne, Joyce Aull, and Shirley Bullock. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Barbara Wilkerson, two sons, Paul N. Wilkerson of Owensboro and Ron Wilkerson and wife Cindi of Masonville, a sister, Mary Bennett of Louisville, two brothers, William C. Wilkerson of Masonville and Joseph Wilkerson of Owensboro, and five grandchildren, Logan, Susi, Kori, Katie, and Kyler. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday with prayers at 7:00 P.M. and from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
