Paul Wohnhas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hargrove-Marker Funeral & Cremation Service on Jan. 28, 2026.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Hargrove-Marker Funeral Home, 815 West Main Street, Jenks, OK 74037. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK.

Paul Delano "Buzz" Wohnhas was born on August 21st, 1933, in Sardis, Ohio to Paul and Gaye (Shreve) Wohnhas. He passed away peacefully at home on January 26th, 2026 in Jenks, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

Paul married Judy Keathley on July 28, 1960 and they celebrated 58 years of marriage together.

During his working years, he worked as a line operator and supervisor for DuPont, an excavator extraordinaire, and was the guy if you needed anything done - sandpoint drilling, well pump fixer, clean up job, you name it, he was the one everyone called. His work ethic and dependability was second to none well into his 80's.

Paul loved his wife of 58 years, his kids and grandkids, taking Harley trips with Judy and their Harley friends, square dancing with the Pianalto group, taking his daily trip to the Jenks Daylight Donut shop on Elm and then sharing donuts and other goodies as he made his way through Jenks checking in on others.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Judy; his parents Paul & Gaye, three sisters, Judy, Joan Beckett, and Jan Brown; and one brother, Gary.

He is survived by: one brother, Max of Woodsfield, Ohio; one sister, Josephine Brown of Sardis, Ohio; one daughter, Paula Wiedemann and husband, Warren of West Plains, Missouri; and one son, Steve Wohnhas and wife, Courtney of Stillwater. He also leaves 5 grandkids, Kelly, Lily and Emma Wiedemann; and Jeri and Reid Wohnhas.

Uncle Buzz was always bigger than life but so down to earth. My two favorite memories was (1) going out to visit him and his family when I was a small boy and going to a lake where the sand was so hot you had to run to get to the water or risk burning your feet and then breaking his garage door window throwing a baseball and (2) Judy and him coming to our house in Flatwoods Ky for thanksgiving or Christmas I don´t remember for sure which one but they were so much fun and he told me then that the next car I purchased should be a Lexus. I bought one used not long after that and I´ve owned a Lexus ever since.
