David Rickman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hargrove-Marker Funeral & Cremation Service on Dec. 22, 2025.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Hargrove-Marker Funeral & Cremation Service, 815 W. Main, Jenks. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 23, 2025 in the Highland Cemetery in Inola, OK.
David "Dave" Erial Rickman was born on October 20, 1945, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Herbert E. Rickman and Alice Marie Holland. He was raised on "the hill" in Benton, Arkansas, alongside his siblings: Herbert Wayne Rickman, Ellis Oscar Rickman, and Danny Fred Rickman.
In 1966, Dave moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he welcomed his son, Brian. The family later returned to Benton for a few years before settling back in Tulsa. Dave spent much of his professional life as a Boilermaker, traveling across the country to work on industrial refineries. His dedication and expertise eventually led him to a role as a project manager with Construction Turn Around Services. Later, he partnered with his brother Oscar to establish Sage Onsite Services, where they worked side by side until Dave's retirement.
Throughout his life, Dave built lasting friendships-many of which began in his youth and through his career in the trades. He was known for his loyalty, work ethic, and sharp sense of humor.
An avid outdoorsman, Dave had a deep passion for hunting and marksmanship. His love for the wilderness inspired him to purchase property in Wyoming, where he spent summers and autumns immersed in nature. His home proudly displays several trophy mounts from his many hunting adventures.
Dave is survived by his son Brian and daughter-in-law Melissa; grandchildren Jennifer Pofahl, Matthew Rickman, and Caius Rickman; and great-grandchildren Cecelia Rickman, Ian Pofahl, and Calvin Rickman. He is also survived by brother Oscar and his wife Cynthia Rickman, sister-in-law Tommie Rickman and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Wayne and Danny Rickman; his sister Laura; and nephews Jeffrey Rickman and Tony Rickman.
Dave's legacy lives on in the stories shared by those who knew him, the family he cherished, and the wild places he loved.
