Paul Wysocki Obituary

Visit the Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Darien website to view the full obituary.
Paul T. Wysocki, age 63, loving husband of 39 years to Kathy, nee Brown; loving father of Bill (Dorothy Collins), Amy (Andrew) Sholtis, Paul E., and Nick (Fiancée Cassidy Horvath): Cherished papa of Alistair, Elliott, and Jules; dear brother of Edward (Gloria), Eva (Ed) Pieske, Teri Wysocki, and the late Jerry Wysocki; caring son-in-law of William and Patricia Brown; also, many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Edward Wysocki and Barbara Wysocki.
Paul enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, grandchildren, and his friends at his home around Chicago and on the beach near his condo on Lido Key in Sarasota Florida. He enjoyed cruising around the keys on his boat and spending time on the beach. Because of his desire to socialize, you would often find him at a local restaurant or bar sipping on a frosty IPA or enjoying a lobster roll.
Paul was also interested in technology and building things. He always loved new tech and integrated it into his endeavors such as cryptocurrency and his sign-making business. Whether it was making a banner for an event, replacing a wheel bearing, or renovating a kitchen, Paul knew how to do it and was always willing to help his friends and family with any project at a moment's notice.
His humor, intelligence and big personality will be missed by many, but the memories will be carried on forever in our hearts.
Visitation to be held Wednesday, May 15th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 South Cass Avenue, Darien, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Int. Private.

The Wysocki´s and Palumbo´s were neighbors from the 1960´s! Mom stills lives in the Sproat house! She´s 93 years young. We would ride bikes and swim in their lovely pool! We are deeply saddened and sorry to have learned late about the services. All Our Love, Ann, Gary, Chuck & Diane Palumbo

Gosh...I REMEMBER his teaching us that ol´ Morse code dialing trick with the Rotary Phones. It´s been so long ago. I miss those holiday gatherings. Everything was so interesting & yet so simple.
They were the finest days indeed!

Paul was so smart. One Thanksgiving, before touch dial phones, we had rotary phones. This particular day, Paul taught us that you can dial a phone number by taking the phone off the hook. Then press the receiver plunger in close succession the number of time to consider with each digit. Taking a brief pause between each digit. It really worked and still works now.
Our Thanksgiving and Christmas Eves were shared for decades. They were the best of times.
