Paula Jean Brokke, 55, of Ord passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, at her home in Ord, Nebraska.
Paul Jean was born on February 4, 1969, in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert James Brokke and Merna Rae Hughes. She spent her early childhood in Nebraska then moved to Montana where she graduated from Trapper Creek Job Corps in Darby, Montana. Paula continued her education focusing on business and accounting.
Paula resided in Canada for many years and referred to Fife Lake, Saskatchewan as "home". In the early 90's Paula returned to the States and settled in Nebraska. While living in North Loup, she became the proud mother of three daughters, Sheridan, Cheyenne and Shawnee.
In 2002, Paula met Jeremy Wilson who became her lifelong partner. The couple made their home in Ord for the past 22 years. Paula worked at the Ord Subway for 15 years followed by Casey's. In 2017, she became a full-time grandmother and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.
Paula enjoyed gardening, journaling, cooking and listening to music.
Survivors include her father Robert Brokke of Florence, Arizona; her lifelong partner, Jeremy Wilson of Ord; three daughters, Sheridan Brokke of Lincoln, Cheyenne Brokke (Cory Cusatis) of Ord and Shawnee Brokke of Ord; and three grandchildren, Sophia, Rianna and Timber Cusatis.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Merna (Hughes) Bisgaard, stepfather, Jim Bisgaard; and sister, Laura Brokke.
Ms. Brokke's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ord Veterans Club. Private Inurnment will be in the Ord City Cemetery.
