Paula Jean Danner, 91, of Blytheville passed away at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice facility in Jonesboro on October 6, 2025, with family around her. She was born on April 8, 1934, to Isaac Franklin Ashby and Julia Mae Overton Ashby. She was proud to say that she was born and raised in Promise Land and attended Promise Land Methodist Church for many years.
She was a housewife and enjoyed raising kids, whether hers or grandchildren, it didn't matter. She loved taking care of family. She enjoyed cooking the family loved her dressing. She didn't spend too much time sitting around watching TV she was usually up cleaning and making sure all is well within the house.
In earlier years she loved to dance. She liked fast dancing like The Jive but also enjoyed slow dancing. She loved high heel shoes and wore them daily until she couldn't anymore. She also enjoyed vegetable gardening, travelling, going to county fairs, and she loved red roses.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Taylor Danner; her parents, Isaac and Julia Ashby; a son, Thomas Edward Danner; two grandchildren: Stanley Danner and Tina Williams; and her siblings: Jack, Leon, Nell, and Walter.
She is survived by her two children: Larry Leon Johnson, of California City, CA and Paula Hall, of Cherokee Village, AR;
Five grandchildren: Cristy Johnson, Misty Hamm, Tanya Womack, Mary Hall, and Loyd Steven Danner, Sr.;
Five great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Kelsey, Steven, Jr., Harley, Zachary, Elsie, and Ada;
Great-great-grandchildren: Kinsley D., Kenzley F., Jackson, Lincoln, Taylor, and Vicky;
Special nieces: Kathy Anson, Rachel Ashby Mason, and Lisa Ashby Pursifull;
Special lifelong friends: Anna Lee Neele and Terry Mae Bishop;
and other family and friends that will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be Monday October 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Mitchell King officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until service begins.
