Paula Jeanne Flint, PhD, founder and head of school of Flint Academy in Grand Prairie, TX, passed away peacefully at home July 10th, 2025 at the age of 72.

Her unwavering passion for children’s education rooted in Christian love drove Paula’s determination to found a K-12 school. This lifelong goal was achieved in 2006 upon the founding of Flint Academy and this year marks its 20th anniversary. Paula’s legacy is honored and upheld through the dedication of the staff she so carefully recruited, the generous benefactors she cultivated, and the cooperative and gracious relationship with Oaks Baptist Church of Grand Prairie.

Paula was born October 30, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Eugene and Donna Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her son Nathan, and survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John Mark Flint; her son Caleb Lee Flint, his wife Stefani, and her grandson Holden; her son Micah John Flint, his wife Franchesca, her granddaughters Adalyn Grace and Biance Faith; and granddaughter Taylor Messer; her mother Donna Sullivan, her brother Steven Sullivan, and her sister Christine Mooradian.

A memorial service will be held at The Oaks Baptist Church, 801 I-20 Grand Prairie, TX, on Saturday July 19th. Visitation is from 10 am to 11 am, Memorial service from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a light meal at the church from 1 pm to 2 pm.
