Keohane Funeral Home - QuincyPaula Marie (Rouleau) Gordon passed away peacefully on March 14th at the age of 73, surrounded by loving family.
Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Paula was the cherished daughter of Paul and Dorothy Rouleau. She shared more than 50 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Martin Gordon. Paula was the beloved mother of Robert Gordon and his wife Jaime, and Sara Belmont and her husband Jonathan. She was a proud grandmother to Jacob and Cassandra Gordon, and Emily and Matthew Belmont. Her grandchildren were the true lights of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She is also survived by her brother, David Rouleau, and his wife, Theresa; their children, Julie Wood and her husband, Andrew, and Daniel Rouleau and his wife, Kristen; and their grandchildren, Lily and Ryan Wood, and Connor Rouleau.
Paula was a graduate of the Woodward School for Girls and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she studied Elementary Education. She went on to dedicate many years as an ESL teacher in the Quincy Public Schools.
Paula had a lifelong love for miniature collecting. She was a founding member of the Tiny Treasures Society and a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts since 1972. She was known for her creativity and love of crafting, creating projects in macramé, needlepoint, stained glass, cake decorating, floral arrangements, and more.
Paula was also deeply involved in her community and her children’s activities. She devoted many years to Cub Scout Pack 6 in Quincy, serving as both a Den Mother and Den Leader for over a decade. Her commitment to mentoring young people also extended to Camp Fire Girls, where she first participated as a member and later as a leader.
Above all else, Paula lived for her family. Her strength, love, creativity, and loyalty will be remembered always. Though she fought bravely to remain with those she loved, she is now at peace. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Paula's memory to be forwarded to the Hough’s Neck Congregational Church, 310 Manet Avenue, Quincy, MA 02169; or The Hough’s Neck Community Council Scholarship Fund, c/o David DiBona, 45 Turner Street, Quincy MA 02169.
Family and friends are invited to gather at The Quincy Yacht Club on March 28, 2026 anytime from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. to share memories and celebrate Paula’s life. We will pause for a brief service of remembrance at 2:00 p.m.
