Paula Havers Obituary
OLEAN - Paula M. Havers of 123 S. 4th Street passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Olean General Hospital.
Paula was born Jan. 20, 1948 in Olean and was the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Fraun Whitcher. On Jan. 3, 1971 at the Christ United Methodist Church, she married Danny L. Havers, who predeceased her on July 5, 1987.
Paula was a 1966 graduate of Olean High School. She worked at Olean General Hospital in the kitchen. Paula worked at ALCAS Cutco from 38 years from 1972 until her retirement in 2010 as an inspector.
Paula enjoyed wintering in Leesburg, Fla., dancing, going out to lunch with her girlfriends and taking walks. She loved her dog Sadie and cat Ebony, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Paula is survived by three sons, Jon P. Havers of Olean, Daniel E. (Patti) Havers of Winder, Ga., and Rodney M. (Janelle) Havers of Olean; nine grandchildren, Jayde (Dillan), Dawson, Ryan, Kara, Khristen, Brendan, Promise, Janelle-Ryan and Danny; 10 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Cashimere, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her loving husband, Danny, Paula was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Joan E. Babcock, Anita L. Lewis and Patricia Conner; and a brother, Paul J. Whitcher Jr.
At this time there will be no services. Burial will be in the Allegany Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.

It is with much sadness I read of Paula's passing, a friend of many years, meandering way back to the 1960s when we were so young in heart and spirit. It was back then that I introduced Paula to Dan Havers, a close friend; we know how that worked out = three boys who managed to keep mom/dad and grandparents very "occupied." Paula, was a devoted wife and mother, ran a tight ship at home, was assiduous and dedicated to her employer of 38 years, and a loving sister to her three siblings. When she lost Dan (he was 40 yrs. old) she was a train wreck but she held it together making sure her sons remained well grounded, loved and responsible. My heart felt condolences to JP, Daniel and Rodney who I've known since their "arrivals" and to their children for the loss of their grandmother. Be resolute, be strong and be assured that Paula resides with her Savior. Love, "Uncle" Mike
