Paula Ann Henton
May 6, 1953 - October 20, 2025
Paula Ann Henton, a creative and compassionate soul known for her infectious smile and generous spirit, passed away on October 20, 2025.
Born in Portland, Maine, on May 6, 1953, Paula grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she attended Scottsdale High School. She stayed connected to her classmates throughout her life, especially through her involvement in organizing the historic Parada del Sol festival.
Paula worked as a receptionist in several law firms and in sales, always bringing warmth, humor, and kindness to everyone she met. Outside of work, she found immense joy in creating art through pointillist drawings, beadwork, and other crafts that showcased her vibrant imagination and attention to detail.
Paula loved dogs and shared a special bond with each one she welcomed into her home. She will be dearly missed by her beloved dog, Zeus, who was always by her side.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David E. Henton; her loving daughters, Angela P. Johnson and Summer M. Clifford; her sister, Pamela Engler Reidy; and her cherished grandchildren, Sarkis S. Johnson, Talullah R. Johnson, Oscar M. Clifford, and Elijah H. Clifford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Lester Engler, and her brother, Peter Bombard Engler.
Paula will be remembered for her artistic spirit, her kindness, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her laughter, creativity, and bright smile will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a local arts organization or animal rescue in Paula's memory.
