Paula Johnson, age 57, of Pace, FL, formerly of Floyd County, wife of Dwayne Johnson, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at Santa Rosa Medical Center, Pace, Florida. She was born June 19, 1968 in Kendallville, IN, a daughter of the late Paul "Pete" and Linda Salisbury.
She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Johnson of Pace, Florida; two daughters, Kimberly (Benjamin) Albala of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Emily Johnson and her fiancé, Matt Van Gemerden of Pensacola, Florida; one grandson, Dylan Albala of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two sisters, Emma (Jimmy) Compton of Harold, Kentucky, and Rita Gail Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Paul Douglas Salisbury of Murray, Kentucky; a nephew and niece, Leroy Burchett Jr. and Petra Burchett, both of Harold, Kentucky; special cousins she loved like a brother and sister, Dennis and Lora Tackett of Beaver, Kentucky; and God-niece and God-nephew, Hunter and Emilyn Tackett of Beaver, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be conducted Friday, November 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church, Betsy Layne, KY, with Pastor Barry Clark officiating. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. Private Interment will be at the Salisbury Family Cemetery, Printer, KY.
