AE Funeral Services - ShawneePaula Jean Lynam, 63, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on November 22, 2025, after a long battle with health complications.
Born on June 28, 1962, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Paula was raised by her parents Margo and Paul Rodriguez, who loved her deeply and shaped the woman she became. She graduated from Wagoner High School in 1980.
Paula found her passion early in life, caring for children. She worked in childcare for many years before fulfilling her dream of opening her own daycare, Stepping Stones Learning Center, in December 2014. For ten years she poured herself into the children and families she served. Her days were full of laughter, learning, and the genuine joy she found in nurturing little ones. Every child who entered her home felt loved, safe, and cherished.
Paula was a woman of strong faith, steady strength, and contagious joy. She was known for her laughter, her fun-loving personality, her love of garage sales and pop-up markets, and her Sonic drink and Scooters Coffee runs. To know Paula was to feel welcomed, valued, and deeply cared for.
She was preceded in death by her children, Allison and Christopher Glover; her mother, Margo Rodriguez; her grandmother, Beulah Stone; and her grandmother, Nelma “Mimi” Rodriguez.
She is survived by her father, Paul; her sisters, Felicia, Janet and Catherine; her son and daughter-in-law, Dallas and Kaylah; her grandchildren: Madison, Zachary, Emalee, Zane, Laney, Arissa, Bella, Olivia, and Emerson; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Kehlani.
Her legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue in her family, her daycare children, and everyone whose life she touched.
A celebration of her life will be held on December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at her home church, Open Door, 1200 N. Tucker, Shawnee, Oklahoma. We invite all those who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her memory and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.
