Paula McDonnell

Paula J. (Collett) Bennett-McDonnell of Lakeville, previously of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on July 2, 2023. She was 71 years old.
Born in Boston to the late Joseph and Jean Collett (Friel). Paula was the wife of the late Michael McDonnell, who was the love of her life. Beloved mother of Stephen Bennett of Manchester, CT. Loving sister of Joseph "Jay" Collett and his wife Lisa of Yarmouth, Ann M. Fraine and her husband Michael of Naples FL, Susan J. Spada and her husband John of North Ft. Myers FL, Nancy E. Chisholm and her husband Thomas of Cape Coral FL, and the late Richard L. Collett and his surviving wife Mary of Hanover. Adoring grandmother of Ryleigh E. and Justin M. Bennett of Manchester, CT. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, extended, family members, friends and her special caregivers Katie Vaughn and Kellie Clark.
Paula was a dedicated employee of New England Tel & Tel for many years until her retirement with Avaya. Sheloved to talk and keep in touch with everyone who touched her heart. She enjoyed going to the casino, dining out, playing games with her family, dancing, breaking into song, and spending time with her family and friends. Paula had a special bond with each and every member of her tight-knit family. She will be remembered as a perpetually happy person who always wore a smile. She never complained and never had a bad word to say about anyone she knew. She had a wonderful sense of humor and many unique sayings known as "Paula-isms". Paula's presence will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on August 14, 2023 from 10am-1pm at McDonald-Keohane Funeral Home in South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rt 18 opposite South Shore Hospital).
