Paula Pettit, 89, of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in New York on February 20, 1935, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Pettit Sr.; her children Patrick, Richard, Debbie, Daniel and Harry Jr.; and her brother JoJo. She is survived by her son, John Pettit (Maria); her siblings Richard Mascaro and Mickey Wade; her grandchildren Jon (Jamie), Josh, Adam (Karah), Monica, and Jack; and her great-grandchildren Skylar, Dixie, Deagan, Leighton, Lyla, and Olivia.
Paulas unwavering love for her family and her strength in the face of loss were the hallmarks of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8th, 2025 at 1:00PM at the Franconia Family Moose Center, 7701 Beulah St, Alexandria, VA 22315.
Flowers may be sent to the Franconia Family Moose Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Paulas honor.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Check back to this website for updates
