Paula Christina Raposo, 52, a lifelong resident of Newport, Rhode Island, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on June 27, 2025. She was born on August 12, 1973, in Santa Clara, São Miguel, Azores. She then came to the United States, arriving in Boston on January 12,1976.
Paula was filled with love for her family and for Jesus, and she always found a way to share her faith with others. She enjoyed taking scenic walks around the city, and she was proud to call Aquidneck Island her home.
She was the daughter of the late Manuel Frank Raposo and Artimisa Maria DeCosta Raposo. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Pine of Newport; her son, Andrew Swartz of Fall River; and six grandchildren: Saviior, Evangeline, Journey, Faith, Elora, and Gabriela. Paula is also survived by her siblings: Tony, John, Michael, Maria, and Alzira.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private service will be held by the family.
