Paula, I'll never forget when I first saw your fb page and requested you. You must've gone through my photos & seen I was an Elvis fan, and to my surprise, you created this photo of me with Elvis that absolutely shocked me. You will definitely be missed! I remember, the first time I saw a picture of Paula was in Easy Riders Magazine in the '70s. Since then I have enjoyed her work very much because of the content; the people, the culture. God Bless you Paula, the world, especially the biker world, misses you.

From one photographer to another! Your talent goes so far in capturing the lifestyles and closeness of NJ Bikers. The world has lost a talent that few have ever had! Your ability to capture the "Essence" of a world not known by many is sorely missed but your photography will last for many many years! Goodbye to a wonderful talented creative person that is gone far too soon! RIP Paula!

My condolences to all of Paula's family and friends. I have just now heard of her passing.
Paula was a huge part of the biker lifestyle in New Jersey and beyond. I had known of her excellent photography in the mags. Then I met her in person at the meeting where Jersey ABATE was formed. She was always a supporter of bikers rights and attended so many of the fundraisers and events. Swap meets, Plain Janes, parties- Paula was there and documented them all with her photographs. Thank you for your support of ABATE and the MCs in Jersey.
Paula, you were a true icon of the biker scene and will always be remembered here.

My God Paula can't believe you are gone. 45 years of friendship. You told me everything. Tried to assist. From Childhood to forever. Your trust was so valuable friend and sister.
All the things you are famous for. My intimate look at your life. Was a trust few find.
From Jersey City. Live on forever my Sweet Sister. Why ....

I live in Virginia but years ago I was a neighbor of Doug and Paula. And Amber. Chemo too. Doug told me on Thursday, the 16th., of Paula's passing. After all the affection related by her friends what more can I write about this incredible human being. Then I remembered what Doug said to me on the phone, "Ralph, Paula loved you." Love. We love much in our lives. But to be loved, well, that's quite the blessing. We can choose to love, others choose to love us. Paula loved me. Looking back what was it I did for her to love me. Was I funny. Was I smart. Was I good. Maybe. Likely I was nothing more than...being me. That's how she was. Just be yourself, I can hear her saying, "That's a lot more than most people can offer." Paula did photo art for my Grandchildren. These amazing works of her imagination will adorn their walls until they are old ladies. She will beautify the walls of my heart until I am an old man. Until our next martini, my sweet. Vaya con Dios.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!

In 1985, when Ari Roussimoff and I started the Tattoo Society of New York Paula Grimaldi Reardon was one of the regulars who always showed up. She would come with her 2 lights, a background cloth, and her camera. When I helped Dick Zigun organize his Coney Island tattoo show, she would show up. She would get some of the photos into biker magazines. In the magazines I saw she documented the exotic dance scene. Eventually I learned Paula also photographed the major biker events like Daytona. This was the 80's and early 90's when it was considered a very dangerous place to take photos, but there was Paula. She is one of the only photograph I know of who had the ability cross the 1% lines and get the photos.
Paula is a NY ACKER recipient. She is an actress in Ari Rousimoff's movie Shadows in the City. In my opinion Paula is one of the most over-looked and under-rated documentary photographers in the world she inhabited. I hope her archive is saved and protected. She is one of the great ones. She was beautiful, always friendly, and everyone loved Paula. She was one of jewels I met doing the TSNY. She was a loving wife and she loved her dog. Like the true warrior she was she fought a long hard battle. Forever in our memory. Love and Respect. Condolences to Douglas Reardon her loving husband. Clayton Patterson NYC

Dear Paula,
I will always treasure the few small adventures we shared. I will always appreciate how much you worried about, cared about and reeally loved your friends. You were always so genuine, and honest, ad GOD, YOU WERE SO FREAKIN FUNNY! I am so sorry that you had to suffer so at the end ?(or should I say -beginning?) you did nothing to ever deserve pain. I know you are in the light, in that picture I showed you of Heaven (the one I found in that junk shop, after my son died) Remember? Paradise Valley? That's where I picture you now. We will meet again, till then, tell my sweet boy how much I miss him? He 'll remember you from when he was much younger. SEE YOU ON THAT BEAUTIFUL, OTHER SIDE:
WHERE YOU ARE (AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN)-

Untamed
Forever FREE...

The words cannot express our love for you and the special feelings we shared. You inspired me to be brave and become a tattoo artist in what was a man's world. Your artistic eye and fun loving confidence shined upon all you met! The bond you and my husband Henry shared from so many years ago was and still is a deep part of his spirit. He and I miss you but know we will meet again in the peaceful place you told me to tell Henry of where we will all be free, out of pain and dancing with flowers in our hair. Bless your beautiful talented soul.
