Paula Rivera Obituary
EDINBURG- Paula Rivera, 83, went to her eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs. Rivera was preceded in death by her husband, Salome Rivera Sr.; her parents, Isabel and Herlinda Quintero.
Mrs. Rivera is survived by her eight children, Aida (Joe) Cavazos, Celia (Alfredo +) Salinas, Leticia (Ralph) Balderas, Blanca Craft, Martin (Mariela) Rivera, Hilda Rivera Araiza, Salome (Sandra) Rivera Jr. and Cindy (Arturo) Avila; 24, grandchildren, Julian (Emilee) Cavazos, Sarah (Juan) Perez, Samuel Cavazos, Keilah Cavazos, Alfredo (Deise) Salinas Jr., Aaron Salinas, Adrian (Trina) Salinas, Alexis (Bianca) Salinas, Zachary Craft, Preston Craft, Vanessa Balderas, Adam Balderas, Amanda Balderas, Estefan Araiza, Emily Araiza, Elan Araiza, Jonathan Rivera, Jacob Rivera, Jackie Rivera, Samantha Rivera, Victoria Rivera, Arturo Avila Jr., Arleth Avila and Alejandro Avila; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. rosary, Friday, July 14, 2023 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
