Paula Ronan Obituary
Paula Ronan, 65, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, passed away in her home in Aurora, Colorado on August 4th, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Kirstin Abrams (37) and Taryn Schott (25), her younger brother Jody Ronan (61) and a collection of "adopted" kids who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Mary Carrig and her father Joseph James Ronan as well as an older half-brother James Marshal Gibson.
A consummate educator, Paula spent the majority of her career working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, first teaching in the prison system and later in Curriculum Development. Despite being a deeply private person, Paula had a heart big enough to love the world and cared deeply for the people around her.
Family will not be holding a public memorial, but in lieu of flowers memorial contributions could be made to Aurora Warms the Night ( https://www.aurorawarmsthenight.org/ ).

Dear Taryn and Kristin,
I´m so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. My mom Mary Jane kept me up to date about your mom, but when she passed away I lost touch with your mom.
We connected again on Facebook a number of years ago and it was so nice to feel we were in touch. She always responded positively to posts and wrote the nice comments about family photos. My daughter-in-law bonded with her over education and autism and it was so nice that she met more of my family.
If you´re willing I would love to stay in touch even if only on Facebook.
