Paula Smith, age 62, was born on February 14, 1963, and passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Paula was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Della Mae Smith and Alvis Smith, as well as her sister, Donna Sue Ball.

She leaves behind her cherished children, Bethanie (Jody) Hurley, Stephanie Sincell, and Preston (Melody) Sincell, who were the pride of her life. Paula was a devoted grandmother to Maddox Sincell, Phoenix Sincell, Chance Hurley, Sam Hurley, and Joe Hurley, each of whom brought her great joy.

Paula is also survived by her former husband, Pete Sincell; her brother, Tony Smith; her sisters, Aleen Young and Mindy Ball; and many loving nieces and nephews who will forever treasure her memory. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Tank and Prissy, whom she loved like her children and who brought her constant companionship and comfort.

Paula was a woman of Pentecostal faith, and her belief in God was a guiding force throughout her life. Her faith gave her strength in difficult seasons and shaped the love, resilience, and hope she shared with those around her.

Paula will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strength, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday January 27th and 28th, 2026, beginning at 6:00 P.M. at The Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jesus Name at Delorme, W.V. with Melvin McCoy Jr. and Ronnie Wolford officiating.
