Paula Spitz Obituary
She was born on June 26, 1945 in Sandwich, Illinois, the daughter of John and Nina Huddlestun of Plano. She went through the Plano school system graduating in the class of 1963.
She married Gerald Spitz in 1969 and gave birth to their only child, John Gerald Spitz, in 1970.
She worked in accounting at gray stamping in Plano for 10 years, then went to Caterpillar Tractor Company for 30years before retiring in 2003.
She was a Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher at Crosspointe Church in Oswego for years and loved telling children of Jesus' love for them. She loved quilting as a hobby and also was a very good bowler in a variety of women leagues at Plano recreation.
She is survived by two sisters, Dianne and Sylvia, both of East Peoria, Illinois and her brother William of Oswego, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her son, John Gerald Spitz.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Crosspointe Church 8 W. Rickard Dr. Oswego, Illinois. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow at the church. Arrangements by Bauman Family Funeral Home, Oswego, Illinois.
