Paulette Denise Bates of Manchester, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 68 years.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, she is the daughter of the late Chester and Rita Koscielniak Borowiak. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Mark Borowiak, sister, Cindy Collins, sister-in-law, Karen Borowiak and brother-in-law, Steve Collins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.

Paulette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Paulette enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and crafts. She loved to watch games shows, especially Let's Make a Deal. She was very fond of her grand dog Eli and she loved the holidays. Her favorite was Christmas. She loved the decorations, and time spent with family and friends.

Her survivors include her husband of 47 years, Phillip Bates of Manchester, Tennessee, children, Jason Bates of Manchester, Tennessee, Justin (Monica) Bates of Manchester, Tennessee, Jessica (Patrick) Taylor of Manchester, Tennessee, Jennifer Harris of Clarksville, Tennessee, Joanna (Christopher) Foster of Winchester, Tennessee, brother, Duane Borowiak of Westland, Michigan, sister, Rita Borowiak of Michigan, 8 grandchildren, Cameron Bates, Haliegh Harris, Aaliyah Taylor, Nathan Foster, Allison Foster, Parker Bates, Simon Lackey and Jasper Lackey.

Paulette is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
