Paulette Kawa passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 4, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, to Kenzie and Joyce Goselin Kawa, Paulette was a lifelong resident of Ogden. She graduated from Ogden High School and remained connected to her community throughout her life.
Paulette was known for her vibrant personality, warm heart, and creative spirit. She had a deep love for sewing and redecorating, and found joy in bowling, dancing, and traveling. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love—a reflection of the way she lived her life.
She devoted 25 years of service to Safeway Stores, Inc., where she made lasting friendships and was known for her strong work ethic and kind nature. Afterward, she spent 13 more years at Autoliv before retiring.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jolene (Roger) Koga; her brother-in-law, Scott Nelson; and her grandparents and other cherished loved ones. She is survived by her siblings, Sharlene (Clark) Holmes, Kenny (Jolene) Kawa, and Melanie Nelson. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, each of whom she adored and held a special place in her heart.
True to her loving and loyal nature, Paulette wished to be cremated alongside her faithful Chinese Pug, Milo, who was always by her side and brought her endless comfort and companionship.
A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Paulette will be placed in a niche alongside those she loved.
We are especially grateful to the wonderful team at Sunridge Assisted Living in Roy for their kindness, care, and heartfelt support — and to the many dear friends she made there who brought joy to her days.
Paulette’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
