Paulette Sutton McGill

Paulette Sutton McGill passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born and raised in Reserve, LA and was a resident of LaPlace, LA where she never met a stranger.
Beloved wife of the late Arnold Grant McGill for 49 years. Loving mother of Ryan Michael McGill (Lisa) and Nicole McGill Bourgeois (Marc). Loving stepmother of Arnold Grant McGill, Jr. (Dena) and Kimberly Denise Picou (Tony). Daughter of the late Viola English Sutton and Melvin Wade Sutton. Sister of the late Melvin Wade Sutton, Jr. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was a dedicated Ascension of Our Lord church parish weekly volunteer, Perpetual Adoration Adorer, Fatima Rosary group, and AOL Altar Society member. She loved to talk and enjoyed meeting new people and proudly shared her deep faith with those she met. Even if only a brief interaction, she often left a lasting impression on those she encountered. She loved gathering everyone together for a good game and a round of cards which always brought joy and laughter to everyone involved. What brought her the most joy in this life was spending time with her family and being a proud Maw Maw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Friday, October 24, 2025. Visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, LA from 10 am – 12:00 pm with the rosary to begin at 12:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Greenwood Dr., LaPlace. Interment to follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve, LA.
