Peggy Eileen Robichaux McKinney Englade, 71, of LaPlace, Louisiana, passed away peacefully
on October 14, 2025 at Ochsner Hospital of Kenner. A celebration of life will take place
Saturday, October 18th, at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Laplace, with visitation at 10am
followed by mass at 12pm.
Peggy was born on July 16,1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Leon
Godchaux High School, where she was head majorette and played the clarinet. She attended
the University of Southwestern Louisiana, majoring in Dance Choreography. Her
greatest passion was owning Starlight Dance Company, where she introduced hundreds of
children to ballet, tap, and jazz. She was strong in her faith and a long-time member of St. Joan
of Arc Catholic Church and First Assembly of God Church. She cherished her family,
daughters, and grandchildren, and loved spending time together at family gatherings, holidays,
and celebrations.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Jennifer Cooper (James), Bonnie Accardo
(Justin), Bridget Vacha (Allan), and Amanda Fitzgerald (Joseph); her beloved grandchildren
Faye Fitzgerald, Nash Cooper, Franklin Fitzgerald, Brody Boucvalt, Claudia Accardo, and Leo
Vacha; and her eldest sibling, J.L Robichaux. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Dwayne "Dee" Englade; her parents Joseph and Ethelyn Robichaux; brothers Bobby and Lynn
Robichaux, and sister Veronica "Ann" Robichaux Maguire.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at
St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 412 Fir St, LaPlace, LA 70068. Mass will begin at 12:00PM.
Peggy will be laid to rest at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery, 1550 LA-44, Reserve, LA.
Serving as pallbearers are Allan Vacha, Justin Accardo, John McKinney, George "Shawn"
McKinney, Nash Cooper, and Franklin Fitzgerald.
Peggy will forever be remembered for her love and loyalty to her family and friends. Her
welcoming smile, cheerful spirit, and generosity were gifts to all who knew her.
