Paulina Massey Sheppard

Paulina Massey Sheppard, age 96, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Paulina was born July 18, 1927 in Wiggins, Mississippi to Silas and Pauline Massey.
She married John William Sheppard on March 11, 1950 in Greenwood, Mississippi. Buddy and Paulina were happily married for 66 years, until his passing in March 2016. They lived most of their lives in Greenville, Mississippi where Paulina had a successful career as a banker. She retired as a Vice President of Regions Bank. Paulina and Buddy lived in Germantown Plantation and were members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Collierville.
Paulina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buddy, her sister, Virginia Owen and her brother, Son Massey.
She is survived by her daughters Pam McBride (Michael 2017) of Collierville, Ellen Upton (Johnny) of Decatur, Mississippi, and son Johnny Sheppard (Shannon) of Marion, Mississippi. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Sam McDill (Niki), Maggie Irby (Corey), Morgan Vairetta (Steve), Riley Sheppard, and Dru Sheppard. She had five great-grandchildren, and a special niece, Linda Wicks.
There will be a private family memorial service at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
