He was born on March 31, 1958 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Elkins lived his entire life in Memphis. He was a graduate of Evangelical Christian School and Christian Brothers University. Elkins was an accountant by trade. He loved sports, history, holidays and most of all, Elkins loved his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elkins Bise Crawford, Sr. and Martha Craig Crawford. He is survived by his brother Craig Crawford and his wife Delisa (Columbia, TN), his sister Melissa Crawford Handwerker and her husband Danny (Lamar, MS), Nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nephews.
His Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in The Lord's Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery 824 South Dudley Street, Memphis, TN 38104 with a graveside service to follow. A reception to follow will be at In White House 3711 Pleasant Hill Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654.

I knew Elkins from our neighborhood. I didn't know him long, but knew him to be a thoughtful and courteous man. He always listened to NPR in the mornings, enjoyed a nice sit on his front stoop to watch the neighborhood, and thoroughly enjoyed hosting or just hanging out in his backyard space. He left a mark on the neighborhood and will be missed.
