Mrs. Pauline Odessa Brown Fleenor, age 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born February 4, 1951, in Surry County, to the late Ernest Hoover Brown and the late Odessa Mae Lowe Brown.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Jerry Fleenor; Stepdaughter Jennifer and Tony Stallcup; son and special friend, Joseph Fleenor and Ashley Edwards; grandchildren, Kenzley Annabelle Fleenor, Kentson Michael Fleenor; sister, Iris Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlton and Bunny Brown, and Burnice and Stevanna Brown; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; Judy and Paul Fleenor, Joyce Shaffer, Teresa Ring and Edwin Hale; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Carol Fleenor, and Ron and Ginger Fleenor; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Manuel Brown, Ernest Eugene Brown; mother-in-law, Mattie Newton Fleenor; father-in-law Howard Fleenor Jr.; sister-in-law, Joyce Diane Fleenor; and brothers-in-law, James Howard Fleenor, David Lee Fleenor, and Mark Jeffrey Fleenor.
Mrs. Fleenor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and loving sister and friend. She worked in Washington DC for the FBI before returning to Surry County, where she worked as a loan officer for BB&T Bank. Visitation will be Monday, September 1, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, in the Moody-Davis Chapel, with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Fleenor family,
