Pauline Christian

Pauline Christian, age 67, of Gary, West Virginia, formerly of Jolo, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at McDowell Healthcare Center in Gary, West Virginia.

Pauline was born on March 27, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Benton and Virginia Stuart Fife.

Pauline had a love for life that showed in everything she did. She adored makeup and never went for a single day without it - always put together, always herself. She loved dancing, music, watching television, shopping, and traveling-often saying she "just wanted to be on the road." Above all, she loved her family with her whole heart. Her son Tony was her entire world, and that love remained with her always. She was known for her sense of humor, her heart of gold, and her beautiful smile that could light up a room. Pauline was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Christian; her son, Tony Christian, who was the light of her life; her sister, Deanna Fife; her brothers, James, Bruce, and Ralph Fife; niece, Sarah Fife and her nephew, Josh Fife.

Those left to cherish her memory include her grandson, Casey Christian; her beloved niece, Wendy Johnson, and husband, JD, and their sons, Levi and Elijah, who shared a special closeness with Pauline and lovingly cared for her during the last three years of her life; her nieces and nephews: Wayne Fife, Jennifer Vance, Bryon Fife, Tonya Akers, Danielle Hicks, Jami Fife, Heather Driscoll, Stephen Dobbs, Shawn Dobbs, Roy Lee Christian Jr, Allen Christian, Trish Rodgers, Audra Marie Lawson, Dean Christian, Dewayne Christian, Deanna Morgan and Diana Driver; her special friends, Irma Justice and Connie Pruitt; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Poochie" Fife and Darlene Christian; special nurses Debbie Smith and Tina Wheeler; along with a host of other family and friends whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to McDowell Healthcare Center and staff for the compassion, care, and kindness shown to Pauline and her family.

Friends may visit the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 10 AM until time of service at 11 o'clock.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11 o'clock with Brother Roy Lee Christian Jr officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV. Burial will follow in Cole Cemetery on White Mountain near Jewell Ridge, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
