Debra Gail Browning

Debra Gail Browning, 81, of Ikes Fork WV passed away March 5, 2026 at her residence.

Born May 5, 1944 in Leatherwood WV, she was the daughter of the late Morma and Janice Toler.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Leslie Kerry Browning.

She was a homemaker and wife of a coal miner for the last 62 years, raising 3 kids, and later in life, enjoying her grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. She also loved spending time with her sisters in-law and brother in-law, Jerry Dale, and was consistent in making time to reach out to everyone on a daily basis.

She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed attending church socials. She served the Lord by helping with food and clothing drives at Paradise Island and was an active member in the Passion Trail. She was a member of Eagle Sanctuary Church, but also enjoyed attending Justice Street Revival before her health declined.

Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of 62 years, Ora Browning, her daughter Gail Browning of the home, and her son Mark (Lara) Browning of Scottsdale, AZ. She had 10 grandkids, Nicole Townsend of Scottsville, Ky; Crystal Townsend of Parkersburg, WV; Justin (Sarah) Townsend of Surfside Beach, SC; Jonnah (Cody) Lester of Iaeger , WV; Joshua Allen of Phoenix, AZ; Jacob (Katlin) Browning of Logan, WV; Alex (Abby) Browning of Hanover, WV; Alexie, Elodie, and Bryce Browning of Scottsdale, AZ.

Great Grandchildren (18) include Katelynn, Samuel, Dawson, Kaitlynn, Kaleb, Kailea, Kaden, Kyler, Dakotah, Eli, Waylon, Griffin, Amara, Jeremiah, Jacoby, Navy, Everleigh, and Kenzli.

Great-great grandkids (9) include Kaison, Qwante, Kahlani, Makenna, Addaniyah, Ava, Xayvion, Sutton, and Sienna.

She is also survived by her Aunt Zelda Justice of Justice, WV, and cousin Rhonda Hatfield of Nettie, WV and a host of other family and friends.

Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening, March 10, 2026 after 6 o'clock at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV with Pastor Gary Walker officiating.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV., Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 1 o'clock with Pastor Mark Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Hanover, WV.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Mark Browning, Justin Townsend, Joshua Allen, Jacob Browning, Alex Browning, and Cody Lester.

Fanning Funeral home in Iaeger is assisting the family.
