Ernestine Jean Lockhart Blankenship, 69 of Panther, WV, departed this life and entered into her Heavenly home on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from CAMC Memorial Division surrounded by her loving family.

Ernestine was born February 13, 1957 the daughter of Clyde and Okie Roberts Lockhart. She was a homemaker; and also the owner and operator of the Country Kitchen and Lockhart Grocery in Panther for many years. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many but her favorite part was being "Maw Teen". She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Okie Lockhart; her paternal grandparents, Randolph and Lydia Lockhart; her maternal grandparents, Arther and Fronia Roberts; her sister, Brenda Bailey; her brother, Clyde Lockhart Jr; her nephew, Brandon Lockhart; and her brother-n-law, William "Tootie" Hagy.

Survivors include her son, Darren and his wife Abigail Blankenship of Madison WV; her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Landon and Jordan Blankenship, Alayna and Harper Johnson and Willow Blankenship of Madison WV. Her sister Gail Hagy of Panther; her sister-n-law, Debbie Lockhart of Iaeger. Her long-time companion Johnny Deskins of Hanover and his children, Mike and Lacy Deskins and their families. Nieces and nephews, Amy (Taylor) Lusk, Kim (Brian) Hunt, Brian (Keri) Hagy. Great nephews Austin, Weston, Thomas, Caleb, and Noah. Step daughter, Deidra (Tony) Justice and their children Morgan, Ryan, and Chad and their families. She is also survived by many cousins and friends that will surely miss her.

Friends may gather with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger Friday evening, February 27th at 6:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28 at the chapel of Fanning Funeral Home, Iaeger with Elder Fred Bailey officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Lockhart Family Cemetery on Greenbrier Mtn. Rd. near Panther, WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
