Pauline Goard Epperly, 89, of Patrick Springs, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, Virginia. She was born in Patrick County on December 24, 1935 to the late Dennis J Goard and Pearl Goad Goard. She is preceded in death by her husband, William James Epperly. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her sisters, Lelia East, Lois Worley and Geneva Foley, three brothers, Irvin Goard, Albert Goard and Edgar Goard.

Mrs. Epperly is survived by her daughter; Freda Shockley (Jimmy). One grandchild; Krista (Josh) Hancock. She has three great grandchildren; Mason, Evan and Carlynn Hancock.. Also surviving is a brother; Bobby Goard (Ella Sue) and two sisters; Nannie Ruth Lawson and Elaine Hughes (Melvin) as well as a special niece Trish Hylton who was her caregiver. A special thanks to the staff at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection.

She attended Stuart High School and she retired from United Elastics. Pauline and William were married for 69 years.

She attended The Church of God of Prophecy.

Pauline's enjoyment in life was her love for cooking and watching others eat her cooking. She loved to watch birds of all kinds.

A funeral service will be held on Friday September 26, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Norris Funeral Services in Stuart with Pastor Tom Warren officiating.

There will be a one hour visitation to receive friends from 1:00-2:00P.M..

If Memorial gifts are desired, you can make them to the Alzheimer's Association of Patrick County, P.O. Box 1301, Stuart, Va. 24171.
