Pauline Soto Head

Pauline Soto Head, 56, passed away at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 26, 2026.

A visitation will be held at the West Funeral Home Chapel on March 6th, 2026, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. A prayer service will take place following the visitation on March 6th starting at 6:00pm in the West Funeral Home Chapel. On March 7th, 2026, a funeral service will occur at 1:00pm at the United Methodist Church of Carlsbad. Burial will occur at the Santa Catarina Cemetery.

Pauline was born June 15, 1969, in Carlsbad, to Samuel Sr. and Irene Soto. She graduated from Carlsbad High in 1987 and moved to Albuquerque where she attended the University of New Mexico. She received a bachelor's in computer science in 2002. She married John Head on March 27, 1999 and they spent their life together in the Albuquerque South Valley. She shined in her career as budget analyst for Sandia National Labs and acted as a mentor for many of her coworkers. She also encouraged and supported her husband's entrepreneurship.

Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Samuel C. Soto Sr. and her brother, David Soto.

Pauline is survived by her husband and best friend, John Head; mother, Irene Soto; mother in love, Sandra Head; brother, Samuel H. Soto Jr. and wife Pam Soto of Albuquerque; as well as several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, friends and her beloved dog Pete.

Pauline loved the outdoors and traveling with her husband. She always appreciated a good laugh, good food, a good photo opportunity, good music, a good book and beautiful flowers.

Pauline, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, will be greatly missed.
