Pauline Webb Jacobs

Pauline Webb Jacobs was born July 8, 1945 in Person County, NC to the late James "Son" and Vannie Margeret Sidney Norman Webb. Her family meant everything to her. She crossed over peacefully in her sleep after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

She attended and graduated from Person County High School in 1964. She began her professional career as a short order cook at local diner where she crafted and sharpened her baking skills. Later, she began working at Burlington Industries where she was known to walk the halls with a strut and a smile. When the local plant shut down she transitioned into servitude at Elon's Home for Children where her love for children became even greater. Lastly, before retiring, she worked in Housekeeping and as a Nurse Aide at Presbyterian Home of Hawfields where she provided essential patient care and emotional support to everyone that she came in contact with.

Pauline joined Lattisville Grove MBC at an early age where she was a faithful member until her health declined. She served as an usher and as the children's Sunday school and VBS teacher. The children she taught still speak fondly of her today. In September of 2009 she finally said YES to the love of her life, Clifton Jacobs, and became his dutiful wife. She adored and frequently spoiled her husband and ultimately retired to become his full-time caretaker until his passing. Pauline loved to cook and shared her cooking creations anytime there was a Homecoming, funeral, birthday or family dinner. All you had to do was ask and she would make it! She will forever be missed for her love of baking, gardening, sewing and her strong sense of family values.

In addition to both her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosita Paulette Webb and her four brothers: Nathan, Clifton, James Herbert and Willie Lawrence Webb and a host of in-laws and one nephew, Lamont Webb.

She leaves, to cherish her memory, her Stepmother Gracie B. Webb of Chapel Hill, her son Stacey A. Webb, and her daughter VeAnna P. Jacobs, both of Burlington, NC. Six sisters-in-law, Lois Shephard Webb of Tampa, Florida, Cotheen Riley (Calvin) of Mebane, LuVern Chavis of Haw River, Bernice Cole (Tony) of Graham, Margerine Bass of Burlington, Frances Jacobs of Mebane, and one brother-in-law, Joseph Jacobs (Marie) of Hillsborough; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
