Pauline Marinos, 84, of Clermont, Florida, and longtime resident of Bronxville, New York, passed peacefully on June 28, 2024. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, George, and her children, Kathryn, Thomas and his wife, Kate and grandchildren, Adriana, Maxwell, and Theodore.
Pauline was the definition of a cheerful warrior. She was the glue that kept the family together and the oil that made the machine work. She was loving and kind and shared those gifts generously with family and friends. To say she was a great wife and mother would be an understatement; she gave freely and loved us so deeply and we knew it.
Though she fought many health issues in recent years she was strong in her resolve and determination to battle and keep going and was an inspiration and source of hope to us all. In the end she was called to rest with her parents, Alex and Mary, her in-laws, Thomas and Nina, and sister, Lucy. Pauline let go of our earthly hands and peacefully took theirs at 12:17 am.
Growing up in Brooklyn, NY and later becoming a longtime resident of Bronxville,NY before moving to Florida in 2018, Pauline always embraced and gave back to her community. During her time in Bronxville, she was an active volunteer at the Reformed Church Nursery School and Bronxville school systems. She was a devoted parishioner at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church in New Rochelle and served as President of the Philoptochos Society for many years. She volunteered at St. Michael's Home for Aged, organizing trips and events for senior citizens which brought her much happiness. She was strong in her faith and believed in givingback through various charities.
Pauline is also survived by her sister, Argie, and brother-in-law, Ed Simon, her nieces and nephews, Denise, Jim and Karin, Alex and Jessie, Alex and Lynn, and Peter, along with their beautiful children.
Pauline will be greatly missed by us all and we, her family, are so proud of the grace and elegance she exhibited throughout her life. We were lucky to have been chosen to be hers. May her memory be eternal.Marinos,
Service: 10:30 am, Monday July 8, 2024, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Eastchester, NY
