Pauline Armstrong Stone, 93, passed into eternity Thursday, February 7, 2013 at The Wesleyan Village in Elyria where she had resided for 18 years. She was born February 23, 1919 in Cincinnati OH. Pauline graduated from Chillicothe High School in Chillicothe, OH followed by graduation from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. She also did graduate work and received her teaching certification from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH. Most of her teaching career was spent in the Lorain City Schools where she was active in Lorain Education Association and Lorain City Schools Employees Credit Union. After retirement from teaching in 1979, she became more involved in the Elyria First United Methodist Church where she was a 50 year member. Pauline was also active in Lorain County Retired Teachers Association. Pauline was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her husband John, (deceased) and spending summers on Sugar Island, MI. Pauline is survived by four daughters, Gayle (Bob) Johnson, Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Sharon Hicks, Elyria, Phyllis (Dave) Reusser, Carmel, IN and Becky (Art) Moody, Elyria. She had eight grandchildren Rob (Susan) Johnson, Avon Lake, Cathie (Randy) Parsh, Elyria, Drew Reusser, Carmel, IN, Julie (Mike) Shaver, Greenwood, IN, Doug (Angie) Reusser, Carmel, IN, Steve (Molly) Adkins, TN, Jessica (Adam) Tybuszewski, Lakewood, OH, and Anna Hicks, Elyria. She also had 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John (1995), parents Carl and Elsie (Friedrich) Armstrong, sister Carol S. Fahringer and grandson John Edwin Aufmuth. Visitation will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 11:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jerry Harper of Abundant Life Church.
