Aiken, SC. Pauline Edna Leggett Welch, age 90, beloved wife of 22 years to the late Clyde Coleman Welch, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Aiken Regional Medical Center.
Born and raised in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late James L. Leggett and Sadie Weiner Leggett. As a military wife, Edna traveled the world and enjoyed getting to experience new places and cultures. Settling in Sumter, SC, Edna worked as a retail clerk for both Woolworth and Kmart for many years. She loved being able to talk with people and she especially enjoyed socializing with her friends. Edna was a loving and caring woman who would do all she could to help others in need. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Surviving to cherish her memory are a son, Kelly Eric Raynor and his wife Susan of Fayette, AL; a daughter, Kimberley Renee Waidelich and her husband Steven of Aiken, SC; two grandchildren, Eric Kyle Raynor and his wife Hayley Raynor and Jennifer Johnson Smith; three great grandchildren, Neveah Raynor, Zaylen Franks, and Jayden Franks and a dear and special friend, Barbara McCoy.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Leggett Price and Ruth Leggett Richardson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow the visitation on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 3:30 pm in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
