Peaches Byers Obituary

Peaches Louise Byers was given her Heavenly Wings as she was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on March 27, 2025 @ 2:25pm at The Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was surrounded by her precious family.

Peaches was born and raised in Guymon, OK on July 5, 1974 to her loving parents, Tony & Kim (Johnson) Byers. Her mother doted on Peaches and always had her perfect, prim and proper at all times. Soon after her siblings were born, she became the bossy big sister of Nicolas, Carey and Angela taking on the role of mommy #2. Growing up, her childhood memory was her prize possession of her cute little pony, "Sunshine" that her grandpa, Shorty Johnson bought for her. She was the cutest little cowgirl winning Grand Champion in all The Texas County Jr. Horse Shows.

Peaches was a 12 year Senior graduating with the class of 1992. Her school years were full of fun, many friends and many school activities, such as being one of the best and funniest Tiger Mascot for The Guymon Tigers. She was voted most mischievous and daring. She was also art club president, and enjoyed dancing, working and making people laugh.

After her mother, Kim, passed away, her life consisted of always helping others and caring for her Dad and her siblings. Many Sundays, her dad, Tony, would drive to Optima, pick up Peaches and her daughter, Kaybre, and attend services at The Nazarene Church in Guymon. Church was always a part of her life even at a young age when she attended Sunday School and Church at the First Baptist Church in Guymon, with her great grandmother, Carey Byers.

Peaches was very well known in the community with her witty infectious personality. She was employed by "Myrene's House Of Flowers" and became a Master at floral arrangements. When she delivered her beautiful arrangements, she was constantly praised for her outstanding designs.

She spent her life making others happy and giving praise and adoration to her three adorable children, Kaybre, Alex and Waylon and her prize possessions, her grandchildren, Major and Kimbella.

Her infinite love and care will live on forever as she was an organ donor. Immediately upon her unexpected passing, she began saving the lives of others. At 1:20 am on Sunday, March 30th, hand in hand, her family attended the ceremony of "The Walk of Life" and stood watching as The "Organ Donar Flag" was raised in honor of their mother, Peaches Louise Byers.

Peaches is survived by her loving family, Scott, children, Kaybre Dae, Alex Max, Waylon Antonio. She is also survived by 2 adorable grandchildren, Major Loren and Kimbella Marie, her brother, Nicolas Antonio and her sister, Carey Elizabeth. Her precious memories will live on forever in the hearts of her Aunts, Dana (Byers) Tomlinson, and Lisa (Johnson) Durbin, Uncles, Jerry Johnson, Poke (Mary Gail) Byers, Mike (Susan) Byers and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and a host of friends. Peaches was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Eddie and Peaches Byers, Shorty and Louise Johnson and her baby sister, Angela Marie, plus several aunts and uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Peaches' life will be held at the Guymon First Baptist Church on Thursday afternoon, April 10th at 2:00 p.m. The family will greet friends on Monday evening, April 7th between the 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home.

Memorials in memory of Peaches can be made to Loaves and Fishes and will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Friends can sign the online guestbook and leave condolences at www.bunchroberts.com.
