Pearl Chesser Altman, 86, of Folkston, GA passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 in Brunswick, GA. She was born April 1, 1939 in Folkston, GA to the late Harry Chesser, Sr. and Neetie Rider Chesser. She was a faithful member of Philadelphia Free Will Baptist Church for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Altman; 2-sons: Harry Nazworth and Charlie Nazworth; her siblings: Villa Murray, Bernice Roddenberry, Lois Bryant, Tessie Knowles, Harry Chesser, Polly Chesser, Floyd Chesser, Peggie Champion and William Chesser.
She is survived by her children: Janet (Lewis) Shaw, Sharon (A.J.) Vaughn, Lynn (Marvin) Brantley and Geri Hodges; a brother: Gene Chesser and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, September 5 at 11:00 AM at Sardis Cemetery with Pastor Keith Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
