Pearl Catherine Bollaert, 91, of Capac, passed away Thursday, March 6 2025, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
She was born June 17, 1933, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Szalaszewicz) Egnash.
Pearl married Charles L. Bollaert February 23, 1952 at St. John's the Evangelist Church, Allenton. Charles passed away September 26, 1987.
Pearl worked at the Capac IGA and was a bus driver and an aide for Capac Community Schools. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. John Evangelist Church, Allenton, and later to St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Capac, where she sang in the choir and served on the Alter Guild. Pearl was involved in many organizations including being a 4-H leader, past president of the Half Century Club of Capac, life time member of Winter Rover Club, member of Rosary Alter Society, Capac Senior Red Hat Society, and a Red Cross Volunteer -St. Clair County Chapter. She loved dancing, painting, cooking special foods -she never failed to make her famous cheesecake for everyone's birthdays, gardening and making wreaths for the cemetery. She really loved decorating for the holidays and hosting family reunions. Pearl's amazing mind never wavered on her; she remembered all of her family history, places she once lived, her marriage and children. More than anything Pearl loved spending time with her family, children and grandchildren playing cards and watching her win with a sweet and sly smile.
