Pearl Couch, a cherished resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 21, 1945, in Hot Springs, Pearl was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and warmth.
A proud graduate of Lake Hamilton High School, Pearl embraced her role as a caregiver and nurturer within her family. She dedicated her life to raising her children, providing them with love and support throughout their lives. Her interests included fishing, shopping at yard sales, and indulging in her love for reading, particularly western novels, which brought her much joy.
Pearl is survived by her loving son, Jerry Couch, her devoted daughter, Connie Bell, her sister, Gerri Susie Stephens, and her daughter-in-law, Pamela Shinkle. She also leaves behind twelve cherished grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom benefited from her nurturing spirit and wisdom. Her brother Billy Meredith and sister Brenda Meredith will undoubtedly feel her absence, as will all who were lucky enough to call her family or friend.
Pearl is predeceased by her husband James Couch and her three sons, Donnie (Brenda Sue Chapman-King), Lonnie, and Larry Couch. She is also preceded in death by her parents, William and Lorene McClung-Meredith, along with her siblings, Roy and Karen Meredith, who will welcome her with open arms in the great beyond.
A visitation will be held on March 14, 2025 at 1:00pm followed by a funeral service at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Pearl to come and share in remembrance and celebration of her life.
Burial will follow funeral services at Fouche Loupe Cemetery.
