Pearl Lavay Dollar McGowan, 87, of Leachville, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on August 8, 1937 in Senath, Missouri to John L. Turner and Katie Ruth Eubanks Turner. Pearl was a proud and faithful member of Lepanto First Baptist Church. Known for her vibrant spirit, she found joy in dancing, exploring flea markets, and taking casino trips with Magaline and Lynn. She loved chatting on the phone, keeping everyone in line, and most of all spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandkids. Pearl was a true fighter, full of strength and heart, and she battled with grace until the very end. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McGowan; her parents; two sisters, Magaline Gann and Sug Sprouce; and three brothers, John Turner, Leon Turner, and Bill Turner. Pearl is survived by her two sons, Ronnie Dollar and his wife Jean of Carrolls Corner, and Randy Dollar of Lepanto; one brother, Kuron Turner of Lepanto; three grandchildren, Shanda and T.J. Morrow of Leachville, Jennifer and Scottie McCullar of Etowah, and Brandon and Tina Dollar of Paragould; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one more blessing on the way.
A funeral service will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. and visitation will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
Brother Jim Duffel will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home.
