July 5, 1933 – October 11, 2025 Pearl Lorene Lucas Quenzer, 92, of Moore, passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 11, 2025. She was born on July 5, 1933, on the Lucas Family Homestead in Crawford, Oklahoma, to Delbert and Mary Lucas.
Pearl was the eldest of three sisters and spent her childhood caring for the family farm, helping raise her sisters, and singing in harmony as The Lucas Trio. After graduating from Crawford High School, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she met the love of her life, Donald Quenzer. The two married in 1956 and, in 1961, settled in
Moore, Oklahoma, where they raised their three children - David, Kenneth, and Donna - in a home filled with love, laughter, hard work, and faith.
For many years, Pearl worked behind the scenes at the Oklahoma State Fair, helping organize contracts for vendors and exhibits. She took immense pride in her part of an Oklahoma tradition that brought families together. She and Don loved traveling together in their travel trailer, exploring nearly every corner of the United States and even venturing through Canada on their way to Alaska. Some of her happiest memories were made closer to home, camping with her children and grandchildren at Lake Eufaula - sharing stories by the fire, cooking outdoors, and watching her family grow around her.
That same home in Moore would become a gathering place for generations, as Pearl joyfully watched six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren grow up around her. She found her greatest happiness in the simple rhythms of family life - tending her garden, watching hummingbirds among her flowers, and cheering for her children and grandchildren in everything they did. Quiet but strong, Pearl led with loyalty and grace. She never sought attention but gave it freely, making everyone around her feel valued and loved. Whether she was tending her roses or cheering on her beloved OU Sooners and Oklahoma City Thunder, she did it with her whole heart. She was everyone's cheerleader - and her gentle encouragement will echo in the hearts of her family forever.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Quenzer; her parents, Delbert and Mary Lucas; her son, Kenneth Quenzer; her grandson, Bryan Templeton; her grandson in-law, Troy Lake; and her sisters, Jean and Rita.
She is survived by her son, David Quenzer of Oklahoma City, and his wife, Judy; his daughter, Laura St. Clair, her husband, Jesse, and their children, Natalie and Bradley; and his son, Mark Quenzer, his wife, Amanda, and their children, Cordelia, Dexter, and Atlas. She is also survived by her late son Kenneth's wife, Janet Quenzer of Oklahoma City; their daughters, Jaime Willson and husband, Keith, and Kelli Knudsen and husband, George, along with their son, George. She is also survived by her daughter, Donna Templeton of Midwest City, and her husband, Robert; their daughter, Gwendolyn Lake, and her sons, Tyger and Cougar; and their son, Gregory Templeton, his wife, Mylene, and their daughters, Alexis and Ava. Additionally, she is survived by her former daughter-in-law, Linda Renfrow of Del City, who remained a cherished part of her life, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were touched by her love and embrace.
