Pedro Peregrino-lovingly known to all as Tío Pete-passed away after several years of bravely navigating life following a stroke. He leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering faith. Tío Pete was a kind, big-hearted, and deeply loving human being who treasured family, God, and living fully in the present moment. His journey was marked by courage from the very beginning. He immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity, and through his hard work, generosity, and sincere presence, he made a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him. In 2018, Tío Pete moved to Texas to begin a new chapter of life alongside his sister, Margarita, and her family. From the moment he arrived, he became a central and cherished part of our family. His presence added the wisdom, steadiness, and warmth of an elder for Margarita's daughters and grandchildren. He embraced this new home with joy, quickly integrating into the fabric of our daily lives. Tío Pete shared countless memories with us-moments filled with laughter, stories, love, and a gentle spirit that made everyone feel welcomed. His generous heart was evident not only in how he cared for family, but also in his bond with Tigre, Margarita's loyal dog, who became his constant companion and best friend. He supported Margarita in many ways, offering his time, his presence, and his unwavering kindness. His love for family was always expressed through simple but powerful acts-quiet encouragement, warm conversations, and a joyful spirit that reminded us what truly matters. Tío Pete will be remembered as a man of faith, courage, tenderness, and deep gratitude for life. He touched so many lives simply by being himself-steady, joyful, warm, and welcoming. Though he will be profoundly missed, the memories he gifted us will continue to live in our hearts forever. We hold onto the comfort that his spirit remains with us, and that the love he shared will continue to guide us.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Oaks, 415 S. Business IH-35, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, at 245 S. Hidalgo Ave., New Braunfels, Texas 78130, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 am with a committal at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park to follow.
