Peggy D. Cook age 77, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 9:20 am at her residence in Lima Ohio. She was born on January 26, 1947, to Ralph and Freda (Curl) Nelson and they preceded her in death she was married to Bill Cook May 4, 2001 who has also preceded her in death Nov. 28, 2019.
She loved to sew, collect lamb decorations, and go to the Eagles Club with her husband, and they enjoyed ballroom dancing together. She was an Ohio State fan despite her daughter being a Michigan fan which kept the rivalry going for years. She graduated from Ada High School in 1965 and put many years of hard work in at International Brake where she retired from.
She will dearly be missed by her daughter Heather L Plasterer who was her care giver while she was on St. Rita's Mercy Health Hospice from December 26th until she passed; three grandchildren Lauren Nelson, and Austin, and Ethan Plasterer; 3 great grandchildren Bray'Lynn, Na'jour, and Kingston Nelson; a brother Erwin (Cathy) Nelson of Ada; a sister Anita (Tom) Armey of Continental; sisters-in-law Linda Nelson and Marilyn Nelson of Lima and her companion dog of many years, JR who her daughter Heather will be inheriting.
She was preceded in death by brothers John and Gary Nelson, sister: Patty (Frank) Roof.
Her wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her late husband Bill. Her funeral services will be at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Inc Cridersville, OH. visitation will be from 4-6 Monday, Jan. 13th with the service to follow at 6 with Pastor Janelle Taviano officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Allen County Humane Society or to Breast Cancer awareness. Online condolences may be shared at BayliffAndSon.com
