Margaret D. Robinson of Lambertville, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, and known to all as "Peg" or "Peggy", her family came to Lambertville when she was a young child. She was a devoted wife to her husband, William P. Robinson. Last month Peg and Bill celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary. Together they raised a large, loving family and set an example for the generations that followed them. Peg worked for many years as an assistant to the staff at Lambertville Public School. She was an essential resource for both faculty and students and her gentle wit earned the nickname of "Mom Mom" from all. Peg enjoyed playing solitaire and taking trips to Long Beach Island. She always rooted for the Philadelphia Phillies. An animal lover, her most recent pet was her dog, Sam.
Peg was the daughter of the late Norman and Virginia Pickersgill Wilde, the sister of the late Norman Wilde, Jackie Wilde, Virginia Wilson, Norma Wilson and Blanche Ashton and the mother-in-law of the late Rick Gould.
Peg is survived by her husband William P. Robinson; her children and their spouses Patricia Warford and her husband Gary of Lambertville, Shirley Gould of New Hope, PA, Bill Robinson and his wife Mary of Lambertville, Carol Williamson and her husband Steve of Lambertville and Mark Robinson and his wife Beth of Lambertville; her grandchildren William Robinson, Jaclyn Robinson, Steven Williamson, Bryan Williamson (wife Samantha), Becca Dell'Acqua (husband Austin) Matthew Gould, Kristopher Gould, Ryan Warford, Jeffrey Warford, Brent Lincoln, Lukas Robinson and Kate Robinson. At the time of her passing Peg was looking forward to her grandson Lukas' wedding to his fiancé Jessie Ditzel.
Peg is also survived by her brother Richard "Dick" Wilde and his wife Diane of Williamsport, PA and her 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23,2025 at 11:00 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ.
Friends and relatives may visit at the funeral starting at 10:30 am prior to services.
