Obituary of Peggy Jane Baylor
Peggy Jane Baylor, 59, of Aledo, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025.
Celebration of Life: 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Summit Lutheran Church, 111 Maverick Street, Aledo, TX 76008.
A second celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Lincoln, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Lincoln Schools 4325 Sumner Street, Lincoln, NE 68506. Please include "Memorial for Peg Baylor" in the memo line.
Peggy was born on March 13, 1966, in Seward, Nebraska, to Richard and Ardella Schultz. She was the youngest of eight siblings and spent a lot of time outdoors, playing all sports and enjoyed watching Husker football and volleyball. Sports were a passion that connected her to others, which brought tremendous joy to her family.
In 1993, Peggy married the love of her life, Randy Baylor, after meeting him at a racquetball tournament in Seward, Nebraska. Together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and faith.
She had a passion for life and found joy in traveling, hiking, fishing, spending time in the sun and baking for family and friends. She especially enjoyed sharing her summer adventures to South Dakota and Kansas City with her many nephews and nieces. Most recently she cherished her time in the mountains and fishing with Brent, Jana and their two children Ardy and Harry. Peggy's adventurous spirit and love of nature were matched only by her deep faith. She was devoted to her Christian walk and was actively involved in women's Bible study, always seeking to grow in her faith and share the love of Jesus her Lord.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Baylor; his son, Randy Baylor Jr. and wife Christina; grandchildren, Emerson, Gage, Beckett, and Jeremiah; brother, Mark Schultz and wife Barbara; sisters, Cathy Peterson and husband Tony, Cindy Meyers and husband Ron, Connie Butler and husband Tim, Cristy Richters and husband Roy, and Amy Walton; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces who loved her dearly.
Peggy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, warm heart, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
